What's the deal with this blog?

Hi! I'm Geneva. I was born and raised in Michigan in a small town called Otsego, but I've lived briefly in Chicago, Illinois and later moved adjacent to Pennsylvania's Steel City in January of 2020. Although I've been in the area for five years now, my exploration of Pittsburgh and the surrounding area is about to pick up its pace. Follow me and my Travel Writing class from the University of Pittsburgh (at Greensburg!) for a personal view of an outsider losing her touristy training wheels.

Other deets about me? I'm a Creative and Professional Writing major with minors in Gender Studies and Political Science, I am the founder of the poetry column "Sound Bites" for the Pitt-Greensburg Insider, Co-Editor for our literary magazine, Pendulum, and an avid reader and writer. I'm a fry cook for a living. I love cats. I'm vegetarian. I compete in karaoke competitions with my brother.
